| అబ్రహం లింకన్ (ఫిబ్రవరి 12, 1809 – ఏప్రిల్ 15, 1865) ప్రపంచ చరిత్రలో చిరస్థాయిగా నిలిచిపోయిన మాజీ అమెరికా అధ్యక్షుడు. అమెరికా అంతర్యుద్ధ సమయంలో అత్యంత కార్యదక్షతతో పరిపాలించిన లింకన్ దురదృష్టవశాత్తూ అంతర్యుద్ధం ముగిసే సమయంలోనే హత్యగావింపబడ్డాడు.
వ్యక్తిగత జీవితం
లింకన్ ఫిబ్రవరి 12, 1809 సంవత్సరం థామస్ లింకన్, నాన్సీ హ్యాంక్స్ దంపతులకు జన్మించాడు. ఆయనది రైతు కుటుంబం. ఆయన పూర్వీకుడైన సామ్యూల్ లింకన్ 17వ శతాబ్దంలోనే ఇంగ్లండునుంచి మసాచుసెట్స్ కు వలస వచ్చాడు. ఆయన తాత పేరు కూడా అబ్రహాం లింకనే.ఆయన కెంటకీ కి వచ్చినపుడు 5000 ఎకరాలకు యజమాని.
లింకన్ కు తొమ్మిది సంవత్సరాల వయసులో ఆయన తల్లి అనారోగ్యం తో మరణించింది. వెంటనే తండ్రి రెండో పెళ్ళి చేసుకున్నాడు. ఆమె సవతి తల్లియైనప్పటికీ లింకన్ కూ ఆమెకు గాఢమైన అనురాగం ఏర్పడింది. తన జీవితాంతం అమ్మ అని వ్యవరించేవాడు. కానీ రాను రానూ తండ్రికి దూరమయ్యాడు
